What data Crawlmend reads
Crawlmend only reads what it needs to find and fix SEO issues. This page lists each source and why it is read. The privacy policy is the authoritative statement of what is stored.
| Source | What is read | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your public site | HTML of the pages on the domain you add, plus robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt. Optionally a JavaScript-rendered view of pages. | To find technical and content issues, as a search engine would see them. |
| Google Search Console | Read-only performance data: queries, pages, impressions, clicks, click-through rate, position. | To rank opportunities by real demand and show evidence. |
| PageSpeed | Public performance results for your pages. | To flag performance issues with measured data. |
| GitHub repository | The repository list, the file tree, and the contents of files needed to detect your framework and write a fix. | To target the right file and produce a diff. |
| Live web search | A search for your domain or brand name, for AI visibility and brand-mention checks. | To tell you whether answer engines surface your site. |
What is sent to OpenAI
Page content and crawl findings are sent to OpenAI to generate AI-assisted fixes, audits and comparisons, only when you trigger one of those actions. AI visibility checks pass your domain or query to a live web search. Nothing is sent for routine crawling.
What Crawlmend does not do
- It does not read your private analytics, your CMS content or your database.
- It does not merge, deploy or publish anything on your behalf.
- It does not use your data for advertising.
